Times Square Food Stands
Starting in fall 2011, the Alliance has rolled out a series of food stands in the pedestrianized Broadway plazas to better serve of the residents, workers, and visitors of Times Square with a variety of quick dining options.

Operated by owner Michele Colombo, the Salumè stand brings a variety of real Italian panini to the Crossroads of the World. Salume entered the New York food scene in May 2011 with its first restaurant in SoHo. Its mission is to offer the essential truths of panini preparation in the Italian food tradition. The Salume stand is located at the Broadway Plaza between 45th and 46th Streets, and panini prices range from $9-$11.
Snackbox, opened by Jonathan Morr of Republic and Bond St., offers high quality American street food with a menu that includes hot dogs, pretzels, milkshakes, espresso, and a variety of baked goods. Snackbox is located at the Broadway Plaza between 46th and 47th Streets, with prices that range from $1.50 to $6. Make sure to check out the stand's unique design, with the entire setup contained within an easy-to-move shipping container designed by Monteal company MUVBOX.
Nuchas, opened on the Broadway plaza between 44th and 45th Streets offers a delicious sampling of authentic empanadas and pastries baked fresh in the morning. It is the first storefront location for owner Ariel Barbouth, with prices set a $3 an empanada.
Rickshaw, opened on the Broadway plaza between 42nd and 43rd Streets offers a top-notch array of dumplings made from natural and local ingredients. Rickshaw already has permanent locations in the Flatiron District and at 45th and Lexington, and a fleet of food trucks that have already made it a Midtown lunch favorite. Dumplings are priced at $6 for six.
